Okay, so I probably shouldn't go browsing when I have no money because I fall in love with things like this:
I heart mid century furniture... but I don't have $400 to give such a lovely a home. Truthfully I don't even have space to give such a lovely a home. Still, I admire beauty when and where I find it and few things are as beautiful as mid century modern furniture.
But, on the other hand, wasting time with good ol' Craig does help put life in perspective:
After all, no matter HOW bad things get... you don't have a custom made dolphin table in your house... that you're trying to sell to some poor sap for $550.
I got these from Crate and Barrel (on sale PLUS I had a coupon, woot!). I'll get better pictures tomorrow when the light is better but I was so excited I had to share!

I've been slowly gathering letters to do this in the playroom because it's just so darn cute and goes with the Seuss theme so well! I pick up one or two each time I go to Michael's.
I can only take credit for the idea, Shelly did all of the work cutting and sewing the letters. I can't believe how cute they turned out!! They will hang on a clothesline at the shower, with a honey bee on either end.
Added a bit more decor to the playroom. Finally got rid of the terrible blinds, too! Hopefully this will be a nursery someday soon, too!
I saw this at Ikea months ago and had to get it since it totally looks like One Fish, Two Fish Red Fish, Blue Fish. It's just hanging in a corner for now. I added the red and white ribbons.
Hat is from Pottery Barn Kids, I got the Cat in the Hat toy at a teacher supply store and the H is for our last name.
And finally the new curtains from Ikea! You'd be amazed how hard it is to find simple, inexpensive red curtains!
Now all we need (besides the baby, lol) is a nicer lamp!
